Sexy For the Cure

A fabulously sexy evening celebrating with Cosmos, Manolo’s and the premier of Sex and the City-The Sequel all to benefit Women Rock for the Cure. It will be a multifaceted event with a pre-party, a pink carpet celebrating 10 Sexy Breast Cancer Survivors, VIP seating for the movie premier and an after-party.

When/Where: Friday May 28th
4:30pm-6:00pm Pre-Party at Yolo’s Restaurant (3805 Green Hills Village Drive, Nashville)

6:00pm-9:30pm Pink Carpet and Movie Premiere at Green Hills Regal Cinema

9:30pm-After-Party at Crow’s Nest (2221 Bandywood Drive, Nashville)

Food/Drink: Happy Hour specials at Yolo’s including discounted drinks and appetizers. Complimentary beverage at Crow’s Nest After-Party

So you think you know wine? Come and see at a competitive wine tasting. You and three friends will compete as a team to see how well you know wines. Prizes awarded to the best palates in town. All proceeds benefit Junior Achievement of Middle Tennessee.

It’s not too good to be true!  Worthwhile Wednesdays is proud to celebrate good times and good causes each month, helping out charities here, there and everywhere.  Don’t worry, we won’t hassle you for donations. All you need to do is bring yourself, some friends and show up at the specified venue for some delicious cocktails and conversation. The more friends you bring, translates to more support for the cause. It’s really that easy!  There is only one small, but super important task to remember. The Grand Wine and Food Tasting

The Franklin Wine Festival held its first Vintner’s Dinner for the 2009 season last week at Criallo’s Bistro in Cool Springs. Guests enjoyed a give course “Wines of the World” dinner featuring vintages from Italy, Spain, Argentina, New Zealand, and California.

The Grand Wine and Food Tasting will be held Friday, October 2, 2009 at The Factory at Franklin featuring over 300 wines and culinary offerings from more than 25 of Middle Tennessee’s finest chefs. Tickets are available for $75 at FranklinWineFestival.com. All proceeds of the event benefit the mentoring programs of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee helping vulnerable children beat the odds.

10th Annual Shelby Bottoms Boogie 15K/5K Race

September 26, 2009 – 10th Annual Shelby Bottoms Boogie 15K/5K Race

Join in the fun at the Shelby Bottoms Boogie for CASA!

On September 26th, the 10th Annual Shelby Bottoms Boogie 15K/5K race will be held in Shelby Bottoms Park in East Nashville. That Saturday, hundreds of runners and walkers will enjoy a flat, fast race course along the Cumberland River while raising money for a great cause. This family-friendly event is open to all ages and features post-race festivities, refreshments, and prizes for age group winners. All proceeds from the race benefit CASA of Nashville’s volunteer program.
